Terms Of Service

The rules for using Choid.

Last updated: September 17, 2026

1. Acceptance

These Terms Of Service are an agreement between you and Phych LLC, the operator of Choid. By creating an account, accessing the app, or using any Choid feature, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use Choid. Questions can be sent to support@choid.app.

2. Eligibility

3. Account Responsibilities

4. Your Content

Your Content includes profile text, photos, prompts, messages, GIF selections, chat photos, voice recordings, reports, feedback, and anything else you submit through Choid.

You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant Choid a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, resize, transmit, display, moderate, and otherwise use Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, enforce, and improve Choid.

This license ends when Your Content is deleted from active systems, except that limited copies may remain where needed for backups, safety reviews, legal obligations, dispute handling, or records of enforcement decisions.

5. Acceptable Use

6. Dating Safety

Choid is a dating and social app. We do not guarantee matches, compatibility, identity, intentions, safety, or offline behavior of any user.

Use judgment before sharing personal information, meeting someone, sending money, or leaving the app. You are responsible for your interactions with other users.

Identity verification is unavailable in this release. Choid does not perform background checks or guarantee any user's identity or age. Never treat a profile status or badge as a safety guarantee.

7. Swipes And Games

Swipes are virtual app credits. They have no cash value, are not legal tender, are not property, and cannot be transferred, redeemed, sold, or exchanged outside Choid.

When purchase cards are shown in the app, Choid offers three consumable swipe packs only through Google Play. The app displays Google Play's localized price before you confirm. Each completed purchase adds the stated number of swipes after Play and Choid validate it. Choid does not offer a swipe subscription.

Google Play processes the purchase and payment. Google handles payment-card details, and Choid never receives your card number or other payment-card details. Google's purchase and refund terms also apply.

A full refund, revocation, or chargeback reverses the related swipe grant. Choid debits the available swipe balance up to that purchase's quantity, representing the remaining purchased-equivalent swipes. If the balance cannot cover the reversal, the unrecovered amount remains as purchase debt and is deducted from later positive swipe credits before those credits become spendable.

All swipes, including purchased swipes, are the same virtual app credits. They may be spent on dating features or staked and lost in Chance games. Chance games use virtual swipes; Lounge games are local puzzles and entertainment. Games and leaderboards do not award cash, transferable value, cash-out, or real-world prizes. Lounge games do not grant swipes in this release.

8. Third-Party Services

Choid uses third-party services to provide the app, including Supabase, Google Play and Google Cloud for Android purchases and refund notifications, Expo push notifications, and GIPHY. Internal testing builds may use GitHub for issue reporting; that reporter is disabled in the production release.

Those services may have their own terms and privacy notices. Choid is not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

9. Moderation And Enforcement

We may review, remove, limit, preserve, or disclose content and account information when needed to operate Choid, investigate reports, enforce these Terms, prevent harm, protect users, or comply with law.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts at any time if we believe a user violated these Terms, created risk, misused the app, or could expose Choid or users to harm.

Report a profile from the Discover safety controls or a profile/chat menu. To report a message, long-press it and choose Report message. You can also contact safety@choid.app; do not email suspected CSAM or identity documents.

A report can preserve a restricted snapshot of relevant profile or message content and attached media for safety review. Unmatching, unsending, or deleting an account does not erase already-preserved report evidence. Retention and legal exceptions are described in the Privacy Policy.

10. App Availability

Choid may change, pause, remove, or add features at any time. The app is provided as available, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that all data will always be recoverable.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Choid is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, safety, or accuracy.

12. Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Choid will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, personal injury, offline conduct, or disputes between users arising from use of the app.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions. In those places, these limits apply only to the extent allowed by law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material updates will be shown in the app or otherwise communicated when required. Continuing to use Choid after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
